The Program Manager III of Metrics Operationalization on the Riot Game Operations (RGO) team reports to the RGO Senior Director of Operations and will be directly responsible for ensuring Riot has a holistic view of Game Performance and Operational Metrics including data provider details, data consumer details, access models, data maturity and usage guidelines. This individual contributor will partner with Strategic advisory partners, RGO leadership, game and platform teams.

Responsibilities

  • Directly Accountable for the program definition of Game Performance and Operational Metrics for the company
  • Work with stakeholders to drive the vision, strategic planning and roadmap for the program.
  • Accountable for tactical execution of the program.
  • Accountable for the maintenance and improvement of the Game Performance and Operational Metrics process.
  • Directly accountable for creating and maintaining a clear, measurable and scalable framework for data providers.
    • Definition and communication of standards with Strategic advisory partners.
    • Responsible for the tracking and reporting of data accuracy, roadmap for data availability/improvement.
  • Directly accountable for the creation and maintenance of a data clearing house for all Game Performance and Operations data consumed by the company.
    • Accountable for matching data needs with data providers and providing a single point of access and control for company data.
    • Advocate for data stakeholder needs, reporter of data usage and consumption metadata.
    • Training and onboarding of new teams into the Game Performance and Operational Metrics program.
  • Shared accountability with the RGO SDM Delivery Operations for identifying and tracking mitigation responses triggered by under performing SLAs.
    • Shared accountability with RGO program managers for maintaining a prioritized backlog of RGO improvement opportunities to benefit game/platform teams.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of development on technical projects / Project Management experience, with 5+ years using iterative methodologies like Scrum and Kanban with supporting software like Jira
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical experience
  • Experience managing software products through the entire product life cycle - from conception, launch, transition to maintaining and operating a live service;
  • Experience aligning strategy and managing relationships across diverse organizations

Desired Qualifications

  • At least 6 years experience in people management of mid-senior people;
  • Comfortable in 1-to-many presentation settings;
  • Experience designing and improving work systems at the single and multiple team levels;
  • Mature understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies;
  • Experience facilitating meetings with senior management;
  • Experience with management tools including google sheets, ALM Works Structure, Jira, project management software;
  • Experience working in a DevOps or site reliability engineering environments;
