As the LCS statistics operator, you will be involved in the execution of a weekly live broadcast show. You’ll put your analytical skills to work finding insights to support LCS storylines.

You are:

  • Attentive to detail: Being thorough with your work and well prepared is vital to any broadcast; you hold accuracy and organization to the highest standard.
  • Passionate about numbers: You have a good understanding of LoL metrics. You are able to spot if someone’s stats are off the charts, but will also question a 60% damage share.
  • A LoL player and esports fan: Watching League of Legends is a regular habit for you. You are knowledgeable about the history of professional League of Legends and the joy of competition.
  • A storyteller: You look at metrics and see how they shape a player, team, or champion’s play and can translate and relate the numbers to their stories
  • Composed under pressure: Live broadcasts move fast, and you'll need to work efficiently and calmly in this fast paced environment
  • A good multitasker: You can juggle multiple things at once and prioritize accordingly, keeping one eye on the game while also checking for records and handling analyst desk requests

As the LCS statistics operator, you will:

  • Work on approximately three live broadcasts per week (show days only)
  • Communicate with casters, analysts, graphics, and producers to build and coordinate stats graphics for both in-game and analyst desk coverage
  • Deliver relevant stats to the viewers that elevate our stories
  • Communicate playoff lock in/out scenarios with casters, analysts, graphics, and producers
  • Work with Excel spreadsheets and/or Tableau workbooks to take a data-driven look at the games
  • Inform and interact with the community through the @lolesportsstats Twitter account

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (keyboard shortcuts, vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, no VBA/Macros required)
  • Knowledge of LCS & LCS player history and NA LoL esports league structures

Bonus points for:

  • Proficiency in Slack, python3, Tableau, and Photoshop
  • Previous work, amateur or professional, in LoL esports statistics
  • Production experience

This is a part time remote contract position that will last through the summer split (approximately 3 months).
