Respawn is looking for an Associate Quality Designer to join an established, experienced team working on Apex Legends. You will work with the Builds and Activities team to ensure the quality and stability of builds and servers used across our organization for internal testing. You will provide insight into our quality strategies and ensure consistent build pipeline health. You will partner with developers to improve stability on the builds and servers for the product and services and be an important contributor to the end-to-end coverage and quality of the product.
The Associate Quality Designer will report to the Development Manager
Responsibilities:
You will:
Design test strategies, planning and leading daily smoke tests, and associated communications
Partner with Quality Verification (QV) feature owners to create and evolve a Quality Strategy that includes use of automation and tools relating to build and server work
Mentor, support and grow the skills of both local and remote QV team members through active coaching and engagement
Help evolve the team’s tools and processes with a focus on expanding capabilities and responsibilities, along with introducing more efficient and accurate practices
Improve the effectiveness of the QV effort by assessing current practices and incorporating new strategies, including further use of technology, automation, and development of new test tools
Create and monitor reports to collect data and feedback from team members and partners, and use this information to improve existing process
Represent QV when attending meetings and stand-ups
Work with partners to identify risks and plan testing for daily build releases
Connect with partners to influence best practices and make decisions based on observed trends
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in quality assurance or applicable experience in technology fields
In-depth knowledge of software/game development, including both agile and waterfall methodologies.
Experience working with medium-to-large-scale team and distributed peers.
Experience with bug prevention and containment strategies.
Defect and Task tracking tool experience (JIRA, JAAS, Github)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The pay ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
PAY RANGES
California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $34 - $51 USD Hourly
New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo): º $31 - $51 USD Hourly
Jersey City, NJ : º $41 - $51 USD Hourly
Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): º $36 - $53 USD Hourly
Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): º $31 - $46 USD Hourly
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
