Red Bull has been a crucial part of the esport & gaming scene on a global scale from the very beginning. Today Red Bull has a strong mix of branded events, athletes, teams, streamers and we are Giving Wings to esport worldwide. The Esport Specialist is responsible for the national esport strategy and its perfect execution. The goal is to find a perfect balance in the national esport and gaming plan in order to position the Red Bull Energy Drink in a credible and inspiring way in the national scene. The Esport Specialist will drive the local Danish Red Bull esport strategy through a structured program of activities, partnerships, events, athletes & productions. Working solely within the field of esport & gaming, you will be part of the sport marketing team, with the full support from all marketing functions. As the key responsible in the area its vital that you manage to grow the impact of esport, both on the bottom line as well as towards the scene and the end users.

AREAS THAT PLAY TO YOUR STRENGTHS

DEVELOP THE NATIONAL ESPORTS AND GAMING STRATEGY

  • Build and roll-out a long term local strategy to make Red Bull the N°1 beverage in gaming / e-sports.
  • Full content + budget responsibility for everything happening around esport in Denmark.
  • Identify and nurture local esport talents.
  • Design and deliver innovative and sustainable esport events according to global strategy and to local consumer needs.
  • Contribute to a successful Business Planning with new ideas and a holistic e-sport and gaming plan.
LEAD EXECUTION OF EVENTS, PARTNERSHIPS & PRODUCTIONS WITHIN ESPORT & GAMING
  • Lead the gaming and esport activities in Denmark.
  • Responsible for the creation/execution of esport events and to set-up local / national activation with full support and expertise of the full marketing team.
  • Has to work hand in hand with the broad sports marketing team to discover and partner with new talents and potential athletes.
  • Set-up strategic partnerships to ensure the presence and visibility of the brand in esport and gaming.
  • Interact with third party events, local athletes and teams, publishers & media in the industry, in order to build a local esport eco-system and maximise the impact of the esport program.
  • Regular updates with International esport team & global counterparts in relevant markets.
  • Champion innovation and creativity by inventing new events, athlete branding and project ideas and transforming them into credible concepts.

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

  • It is crucial with a commercial/marketing background – preferably within FMCG or directly within esport.
  • You do not have to be a pro player yourself, but you should have a clear understanding of the local gaming and esport scene, with in-depth knowledge of popular and emerging titles, consumer behavior and trends.
  • Strong relationships within the industry including publishers, event organisers, teams, athletes & media partners.
  • Strong team player and excellent communicator / connector that would thrive as the sole responsible for all Red Bull Denmark efforts in esport.
  • Ability to design and organize projects of all scales, lead project teams and follow a 360 degree marketing and commercial approach.
  • Your interpersonal skills, outgoing nature and natural tendency to invent, create and follow through should be what drives you to apply for this role.
  • High standard of integrity with a passion for the brand and commitment to Red Bull values.
  • Fluent in both Danish and English
  • Min. Bachelors degree in Marketing or other relevant areas.
