Overall background

We are a Singapore based company that is in the process of setting up a network of esports / gaming arenas (effectively, a PC gaming club combined with a venue for hosting esports tournaments) in South-East Asia. These arenas will become a hub for gamers and esports enthusiasts in the region. The first arena will be opened in Q3 2019. We are looking for a well-rounded IT specialist with solid managerial skills who will be responsible for IT part of our business.

Scope of work (non-exhaustive)

IT Head will be an ultimate responsible for all IT-related matters in the company, such as:

Designing and planning of hardware architecture of the company and arena:

  • Internal and external networks of the arena – there will be more than 200 PCs and other devices connected to the arena network.
  • Internal network of the company to integrate multiple arenas
  • Design configurations of gaming PCs
  • Define equipment to purchase

Designing and planning software architecture of the company and arena:

  • Define list of IT functions, e.g. CRM, arena management (smart launch), loyalty program, booking, reporting, operating systems, etc.
  • Find most suitable IT tools for each function
  • Design advanced analytics and marketing system: sources of data, interaction between systems, analysis approach, etc.

Managing day-to-day IT operations:

  • Oversee fit out works to comply with the designed IT architecture, oversee equipment procurement and setup
  • Manage internal IT teams in arenas
  • Manage subcontractors: spare part management, upgrades, etc.

Requirements and compensation

Compensation will grow together with the growth of the business. However, we are happy to offer a competitive salary and an option to a successful candidate.

We are looking for a person who is willing to grow both professionally and personally. Formal requirements are as following:

  • Singapore permanent residency or citizenship
  • IT education
  • Working experience in IT – at least 3 years
  • Fluent English
  • Passion for gaming
  • Strong critical thinking, communication and team play skills
