Role responsibilities:

Quantum Integrity Software Inc. is seeking a talented, passionate, and supportive technical artist to help create and standardize our 3D art pipelines for our FPS Zombie Survival project, Dead Matter. We’re looking for someone with a high level of experience not only creating these pipelines, but coordinating with members of the team to help make our workflows as efficient as they can be while maintaining proper quality standards using 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, and Unreal Engine 4.
On our team, a technical artist’s primary responsibilities are to support and improve the project’s modeling and animation pipelines with rigging/skin weighting implementations.

You’ll be expected to work together with several teams of passionate artists and programmers to develop tools and techniques to support the creation of art for the project

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a tech/rigging artist for video games
  • Experience creating and maintaining character modeling and animation pipelines
  • Strong communication skills
  • A passion for gaming and the will to experiment and innovate
  • Great communication skills

Technical skills/knowledge:

  • Excellent Python, LUA, or Maxscript development skills and debugging techniques
  • Working knowledge of 3DS Max, Maya, or Blender
  • Experience creating custom rigs using various tools available in 3ds Max and Maya
  • Strong skills in regards to bone weighting and building bone hierarchies

  • Proactive to ensure productive internal workflow and beneficial relationships with other departments and external partners
  • Able to prioritize and manage the team’s day-to-day tasks to ensure that deliverables are completed on time and to spec., through stand-up meetings, 1on1s, and syncs to communicate the vision and needs with other teams and stakeholders;
  • A creative and problem-solving attitude person.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written

Priority Consideration for applicants with professional experience relating to:

  • Working knowledge of basic animation principles and mechanics
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and 5
  • Experience with Substance Designer/Painter
