Game Programmer - Poppy Works Services
==High Level==
We are looking for a self-starting, creative, driven and results-focused Game Programmer to join our team! If you're looking to make an impact, and have the opportunity to work with a fun, collaborative team - weβd love to talk to you! The Game Programmer will work on a wide array of games, engines, consoles and systems to help Poppy Works achieve its development goals. This is a full time or part time position.
== Responsibilities==
- Work with a team to develop and scale games
- Build technology and tools that can be leveraged across multiple projects
- Be flexible and willing to learn new technologies
- Optimize and fine-tune code for performance
- Tackle new challenges that arise during development
==Qualifications==
- College or 2-3 years experience in Game Development
- Experience with modern game engine technologies (Unity, Unreal Engine 4, etc)
- Robust understanding of C# and C++ programming languages, and the ability to adapt this knowledge to other languages when required (scripting languages such as GML and GDScript)
- Excellent programming skills with a solid understanding of software engineering techniques, methodologies, and attention to detail
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies as needed
- Positive and willing to tackle new challenges that arise during development
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond
- BA/BS degree in computer science, game development or related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

- Shipped at least one game and have a proven track record
- Passionate about the gaming
- Experience with engine-level programming
- Experience with ROM hacking
- Reasonable experience working with an entirely remote team.
- Familiarity with various bug tracker system(s) and version control repos.
