The role
As part of the Operations team, you will act as the Project Manager for several projects.
What you’ll be doing:
- Define project objectives
- Create project plans
- Monitor and control projects
- Report progress
- Manage stakeholders
- Contribute to improving project management and software development practices
- Use your organisation and facilitation skills to support other R&D activities such as Hackathons, lunchtime presentations, portfolio reviews, etc.
What we are looking for:
You’ll need to be passionate about project management, and you’ll need the following skills:
- Ability to manage a ‘complex’ project with one or more of the following characteristics: high risk, high cost, high importance, high visibility, multi-organisation, multi-site
- Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner) or equivalent experience
- Fluency in English
- General understanding of software development
- Ability to work constructively as part of a larger team
- Ability to work proactively on your own
- Good presentation and communication skills
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with iterative/agile/lean practices
- Scrum certification
- Knowledge of Japanese culture/language
