The role

As part of the Operations team, you will act as the Project Manager for several projects.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define project objectives
  • Create project plans
  • Monitor and control projects
  • Report progress
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Contribute to improving project management and software development practices
  • Use your organisation and facilitation skills to support other R&D activities such as Hackathons, lunchtime presentations, portfolio reviews, etc.

What we are looking for:

You’ll need to be passionate about project management, and you’ll need the following skills:

  • Ability to manage a ‘complex’ project with one or more of the following characteristics: high risk, high cost, high importance, high visibility, multi-organisation, multi-site
  • Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner) or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English
  • General understanding of software development
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a larger team
  • Ability to work proactively on your own
  • Good presentation and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with iterative/agile/lean practices
  • Scrum certification
  • Knowledge of Japanese culture/language
