We are in search for a Director, Apparel Product & Development who will help extend Overtime Sports into products that engage and delight our athletes and our fans. This is a key position that leads the development of quality product across a portfolio of Apparel & Accessories.

The key responsibilities of the role entail the Planning and Management of the entire 'Product' lifecycle. This will include both the Production as well as the Design aspect which strives to create Apparel/Other products that meets relevant trends and leverages the brand DNA.

Overtime is building the biggest sports network in the world for the next generation of fans. We use tech, new platforms, and new formats to drive a billion video views every month. We publish our short-form content and long-form series across 7 platforms focusing on basketball, football, soccer, and gaming. We own a pro esports team, have a fast-growing apparel business, and basically do everything differently from a standard media company. What you’ll do

  • Drive the overall concept direction to handover to design, and its manifestation in color, pattern and style. In addition, build concepts/products to further strengthen the Brand positioning of Overtime as an inclusive Sports Brand
  • Ensure products are designed to uphold quality and authenticity of Overtime brand.
  • Deliver continual flow of market trend, innovation and competitive insight, assuring Overtime is in the forefront of new innovations, technologies and industry directions. Research and adapt on a regular basis of being on trend within the Streetwear/Activewear market
  • Lead 1-2 team of growing apparel product managers
  • Lead Seasonal Brand Concept planning and execution.
  • Provide seasonal fabric and trim development direction detailing aesthetic and technical requirements
  • Build strong, dynamic and synergistic relationships with cross-functional partners across Merchandising, Planning, and Marketing
  • Drive creation of product lines that meet company expectations for sales, profitability, product reviews.
  • Own the overall relationship with manufacturing partners, domestically and overseas
  • Lead supplier contracts, cost management (cost negotiations & reductions), supplier performance & relationships
  • Conduct periodic reviews with management, and ensure Overtime leadership team and our supplier partners are aligned and executing on key objectives

Who you are

  • Minimum 5 years product experience, preferably in apparel or design
  • Performance and/or fashion apparel experience a plus
  • Ability to set overall creative tone and lead creative design process
  • Strong management skills with understanding of end to end design process
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong focus, initiative and organization skills
  • Experience developing a brand identity
  • The ability to coach, grow and develop designers at all levels
  • Strong design and conceptual skills as well as strong sense of style and color
  • Thorough knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color use, sewing techniques, graphics and trim
  • Exceptional business acumen to manage product cost, and supplier relationships
  • Experience in supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supply base management
