From mixed reality and human interaction to natural inputs and beyond, the SW system integration team is focused on taking new technologies and seamlessly integrating them into new products.As an In-region SW Technical Program Manager at FRL, you will play a key role in delivering new cutting edge technologies to all of Oculus’ products. You will be driving highly complex, cross-functional plans for the integration of new SW and HW, and you will lead the execution including planning of requirements, managing schedules, identifying and tracking risks and associated mitigations. You will be responsible for communication of program status and risk to program stakeholders. You will lead the in-region work including but not limited to factory bring-up, build planning, onsite failure analysis and mitigation. In this role you will have a major impact on all Oculus’ future products.

Responsibilities

  • Work onsite with vendors to ensure successful NPI product development.
  • Planning of scope and system readiness of products.
  • Work with teams to set milestones, create integration plans and identify/address potential setbacks.
  • Ensure cross functional alignment across software, manufacturing test, hardware, and technology teams.
  • Communicate program status, risks and mitigation plans to executives.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review.
  • Scope and establish effective partnership with internal and external teams and ensure successful execution.
  • Establish and drive effective communication and collaboration processes with in-region technology partners.
  • Up to 50% travel.

Minimum Qualification

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience as a program manager managing complex programs from concept to mass production.
  • 3+ years experience with onsite factory system builds
  • 3+ years of full stack (device, fw, mobile, hardware) experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and experience working with highly technical teams.
  • Fluent in English and able to explain complex issues succinctly.
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Self starter and able to operate autonomously.
