We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to support the AR/VR identity team. The team is responsible for enabling seamless and well-designed device sharing scenarios, including multi-user support, device management, and entitlement sharing for both consumer and Enterprise. The charter involves building mechanisms to manage devices, user accounts, and privacy settings for a trusted platform experience.

You will manage and maintain a high productivity, high impact team and contribute to growth and hiring. This role offers significant opportunity for scope since the identity system involves broad integration with the device runtime, developer platform and backend system. By increasing our user base through device sharing and Enterprise support you will also have the opportunity to drive meaningful business impact.

  • Manage the team that designs and implements features for identity management for consumers and Enterprise.
  • Work closely with partners across the software stack to integrate new identity capabilities into system services, first and third party experiences, and content and entitle management system.
  • Lead efforts to investigate, understand, and improve quality including performance.
  • Ship software on Windows and Android platforms.
  • Coordinate and collaborate smoothly across multiple internal and external cross-disciplinary teams.
  • 5+ years of experience with C/C++ programming, including some experience with low-level systems work.
  • 5+ years of work experience developing and releasing software products on at least one PC, console, or mobile platform.
  • 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams including hiring/termination and performance management.
  • Demonstrated track record of shipping products to market.
  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional environments.
  • Experience working on user account and identity systems for an OS or application suite.
  • Experience with Android development.
  • Experience with Windows development.
