Recognised in our sector by an extensive, reputable history and broad product range, Nintendo Australia is recruiting an Events & Communications Manager to join our team on a Full-Time basis.
Reporting into the General Manager Marketing and working closely with direct reports within Events, PR, and Content Marketing, the wider Marketing team, and other departments, this role is responsible for ensuring that Nintendo Australia’s events and communications activities and strategies are developed, executed, and communicated according to the requirements of the Company’s overall Marketing Plan.

Key requirements for the role include:
Managing the strategic planning and execution of consumer events and activations, ensuring the effective delivery of brand messaging and experiences to support Nintendo hardware and software products.
Managing the planning, coordination and implementation of timely and effective local market communication activity and PR initiatives across owned and earned channels to support the Nintendo brand, products and campaigns.
Leading the Content Marketing team in developing and delivering effective, data driven local content strategies, and ensuring these are tailored to best practise across channels and audiences.
Planning and executing local market tournament and community/player engagement initiatives to support local and global objectives.
Managing the event and PR budgets for approval by the General Manager - Marketing, ensuring all projects and campaigns are delivered in line with agreed budgets, and maintain accurate, updated budget reports.
Identifying key consumer trends that are relevant to the Nintendo demographic and provide opportunity for growth for Nintendo business, including opportunities in non-traditional target demographics.
Managing agency relationships to maximise opportunities, ensure clear information flow, and implement strategies effectively.
Management of direct reports, which includes, but is not limited to, staff development and mentoring, succession planning, conflict resolution, performance management and reviews, and OH&S.
To succeed in the role, you will require:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing/communications role.
Experience in team and people management.
Direct experience in event management, including the planning and execution of large-scale events.
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or relevant discipline are preferred.
Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.
