DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Produces and edits audio, video and photography programs for TV commercials, game trailers, Nintendo Direct, print ads, etc.

  • Produces and shoots live action content for use in marketing and PR materials

  • Produces and directs live programming such as Nintendo Treehouse Live and competitive gaming events streamed on Nintendo channels and accounts across services like Twitch, YouTube Live and others.

  • May assist Localization with editing and synching of voice recordings and video footage for in-game cinematic scenes for use in retail game products.

  • Coordinate with global content production teams on the timing, viability and localization of marketing assets from a global perspective.

  • Consults with internal and external clients to determine the specifications and timelines for A/V projects

  • Leads creative direction and project management to cross-functional teams, partners and vendors

  • Works with internal teams to select final footage and decide final edit of game-footage segments for all television commercials and to create audio/video assets in support of banner ads, pre-roll video and other digital marketing initiatives.

  • Lead Product Marketing staff in brainstorming creative content ideas in support of product launches and other marketing initiatives.

  • Collaborate with internal teams on the production of game based assets for official websites, in-store and online retail channels, social media platforms, and other initiatives as needed.

  • Works with outside vendors to source music and voice talent for use in high-end video production.

  • Work with internal design staff to produce screenshots for product packaging, digital manuals and promotional inserts.

  • Produces content for native use on mobile and smart device distribution platforms.

  • Leads the production of creative briefs and storyboards

  • Train and mentor lesser experienced staff

  • Performs special projects as needed

  • Helps to manage and provide direction to digital asset file organization and archiving

  • Evaluates and suggests software/hardware for improving workflows and efficiency

  • Communicates with PR team about the latest trends, opportunities, and technology relating to social media for video content and delivery

  • Maintains a high level of knowledge of and familiarity with new video production trends, technology, equipment, software and distribution channels.

  • Directs and participates in gameplay footage capture sessions to generate game assets necessary for game and marketing content production

GAME FOCUS

  • Directs, plans, and participates in gameplay footage capture sessions to generate game assets necessary for game and marketing content production

  • Collaborates with Online Marketing staff to produce game footage and video assets required across owned and earned channels

  • Collaborates with the retail marketing to create still/video game-based content for in-store retail interactives, POP and retailer websites

  • Works with internal design staff to produce screenshots for product packaging, digital manuals, and/or promotional inserts

  • Produces video assets for Nintendo owned e-Commerce channels, including but not limited to the Nintendo eShop and the My Nintendo store

NEW MEDIA FOCUS

  • Collaborates with Communications and Social Media teams to develop content and assets for unique target audiences and social media platforms

  • Leads the production of and edit content specifically designed around the unique aspects of various social media platforms Research and strategize new content concepts based on current social media trends and platforms

  • Leads in person and remote video shoots for social media based content concepts

  • Lead discussions with stakeholders on unique photo and video opportunities that are not exclusively game product based

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work with basic motion graphics and animation

  • Five years of experience in video or multi-media production

  • Advanced knowledge of signal path and AV routing

  • Advanced knowledge of broadcast-quality video production, including shooting, audio, lighting, editing, video compositing, writing, and producing

  • Ability to perform basic audio mixing and sweetening for video production

  • Advanced experience with non-linear audio/video editing programs and graphic design programs (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Studio)

  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Photoshop, Outlook, Teams

  • Ability to use and convert multiple media formats/codecsAdvanced knowledge of media encoding

  • Advanced knowledge of project creative, pre-production, production, post production and distribution methods

  • Advanced knowledge of video delivery platforms for broadcast, and social media i.e. Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube etc

  • Knowledge of NTSC broadcast standards and practices for linear TV production

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with constantly changing priorities

  • Strong working knowledge of media file types and codecs such as Apple ProRes, h.264/h.265, Web M, etc.)

  • Undergraduate degree in media communications or equivalent preferred

  • Training in audio/video required

This position includes a base salary range of $78,458 - $117,688 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
