DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Typically works as part of team with more experienced Engineers and Sr. Engineers under direct supervision
  • Works with team members to define the functional and technical needs of an organization and recommend solutions.
  • Assesses available technologies to meet needs, defines technical specifications and designs tasks of moderate scope and impact
  • Works with other engineers to develop and modify technology systems, addressing functional performance, security, quality, operations and monitoring needs.
  • Creates detailed test scenarios, performs testing and analyzes results.
  • Documents all technology changes through appropriate change control.
  • Clearly communicates to team status of work, progress and obstacles.
  • Keeps current with engineering approaches, technologies and techniques.
  • Ensures work is compliant with established regulations and other internal controls
  • Provides on-call support as needed.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

  • Typically requires one to three years of related experience in various system development technologies, patterns and practices.
  • Progressively developing expertise, applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Experience working on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to respond to on-call departmental needs.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
