Responsibilities
Lead the development of large, complex infrastructure projects, from tooling to server infrastructure and platform solutions.
Recruit, hire, lead and mentor engineers through active coaching and setting measurable goals that help the engineer grow and create maximum impact for the company.
Promote a culture of multi-functional collaboration with product management, game design, live ops, marketing and operations.
Lead usage of standard methodologies in software development, including design documents, code reviews, automated testing and feature activation management.
Team up with technical leads to maintain a high quality bar for code, unit tests, and technical architecture.
As part of your role, write code for non-time-critical software components (be hands-on when needed to support your engineering team).
Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.
Required in-office 2 days on Wednesday and Thursday.
Qualifications
You have a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
You have 2+ years of experience directly leading software engineers and 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
Proven experience recruiting and leading technical teams, including performance management.
You have 2+ years of experience working on Mobile development with backend services (GCP or equivalent).
Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.
Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.
Plus If...
You have professional experience working on a consumer mobile application.
You have experience building applications using React Native.
You have experience building large Java applications and working on the Google Cloud Platform (or equivalent).
The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $212,000 - $247,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
