Our new PR & communications specialist will be responsible for Newzoo’s press relations and communications, both internal and external, while supporting the team with other Marketing activities.

Newzoo is the leading global provider of games and esports research and analytics. We help some of the world’s largest entertainment, technology, and media companies to target their audience, track competitors, spot opportunities, and make strategic and financial decisions.

Newzoo’s data and our analysts’ insights are quoted in the world’s largest news outlets daily. Therefore, our press relations are crucial and handling daily press office activities an essential part of this role.

You will be part of the wider Marketing team, hence additional activities and learning opportunities will come up.

Your responsibilities:

Responding to all press requests and coordinating interviews with Newzoo’s experts and analysts.
Writing press releases, newsletters, and other media communications to promote Newzoo’s products, services, and brand.
Monitoring Newzoo’s coverage daily and coming up with ways to improve and optimize it.
Maintaining and growing Newzoo’s press list and building press relations.
Press outreach around reports and insights posts.
Image and reputation management on- and offline.
Working directly with the Design Director and Marketing Director to ensure the company stays on brand throughout its materials and communication, coming up with new ways to express different aspects of the brand.
Carry out employee interviews (article & video), keep our team page up to date, and manage our Instagram account.
Coordinate and optimize the sharing of knowledge and information within the company.
Keep tabs on internal communications and suggest areas for improvement.
Adhoc marketing activities – writing/editing content, social media posts, newsletter creation

Your profile:

Master’s degree in Media, Communications, Marketing, or similar field.
Two years of experience in a PR/Communications/Marketing role.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, making new connections comes naturally to you.
You consider the company’s reputation in all activities and remain grounded while dealing with external stakeholders.
You have strong organization skills, are stress-resistant, and do not shy away from tight deadlines.
You are extremely detailed orientated and thorough and always double-check your work.
You are a strong and creative writer and can easily personify the Newzoo brand with your words.
You enjoy juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities and can switch easily from one task to another.
You value integrity, authenticity, and transparency in all that you do.
You enjoy public speaking and representing the company.
You love to learn and continuously update your knowledge and skills.
Affinity with digital media and entertainment (an interest in video games is a plus).
