As the company grows we are placing higher emphasis on personal development for every member of staff, from the moment they join us, right through to the next step in their career. The L&D Manager is a new position offering the opportunity to set this function up within nDreams with an aim to develop and grow the capability and offerings to the business and get involved with a number of projects. Reporting to the CPO, role is stand alone in a small HR team with scope to develop and grow. You will be responsible for creating learning through a blended approach for the whole team and be responsible for a much wider range of projects, incentives and ideas as you lead these across the business.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Conducting training needs analysis with managers to identify skills gaps, use this to develop and implement training programmes.
  • You will be responsible for developing the L&D strategy, liaising with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Designing and implementing a rich learning curriculum, including technical and non-technical training as well as soft skill leadership development.
  • A blended approach of learning, the role will involve some internal delivery but also liaising with external providers to train in more technical areas.
  • Succession planning and talent management, supporting HR to develop the skillset and career of existing employees.
  • Building long-term relationships with universities and apprenticeship providers to successfully design and implement training and apprenticeship programmes.

Projects to include:

  • Working with the HR Manager to upskill the existing management team in leadership and people management skills.
  • Working with the Chief People Officer and HR Manager to implement the diversity and inclusion strategy, delivering training in this area to team members.
  • Build quarterly and annual training programmes for new and existing team members.
  • Taking the lead in setting up our new company training academy working with the recruitment team to find the right candidates. This will involve working with managers to develop innovative programmes that will support the education, development and graduation of future team members.
  • Kickstart programme: track the hires made through Kickstart and develop a mentoring programme throughout the duration of their term.
  • Apprenticeship Levy: Assessing solutions that the fund can be used for and assessing internal training and learning

Who Are We Looking For?

  • A good solid background in Learning and Development, either gained in L&D Manager roles or at a L&D Senior Advisor level but operating in an autonomous, decision making capacity.
  • Experience in the Games sector is highly desirable, if not, something similar within the entertainment world.
  • You will be confident, a self-starter, able to work closely with key stakeholders up to C-Suite level and be confident in your decision making.
  • Experience of using online learning tools.
  • Experience working within a tech high growth business is highly desirable.
  • As well as a L&D background, you will also have worked on projects within Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Engagement and will have worked with the Apprenticeship Levy previously.
  • Excellent communication skills, exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail and be IT savvy.
  • Ability to understand different cultures is essential.

The position will be remote working for an initial period and based in our modern studio in Farnborough, UK, within easy commuting distance from London and Guildford. This is a 12 months FTC - 4 or 5 days per week, £39 - £48k.
