Esports Mogul is an ASX listed (ASX: ESH) esports media & software business leading the innovation of competitive gaming online via our online arena, Mogul.gg.

We are currently looking for a UI/UX Engineer or Frontend Software Engineer. As a Frontend Engineer working at Mogul you will be responsible for translating and integrating new design mock up resources into web experiences using the Vue JS framework and interacting with existing web-based RESTful API’s. You are expected to keep conformity to best practices for web applications and ensuring the best possible experience for gamers.

This is a remote based role. The ideal candidate will be required to supply their own work station and necessary tools/equipment to meet the requirements of the role.

Role Responsibilities

  • Independently implement high-quality features for our web application
  • Write, analyse, optimise, and debug code to maximise performance and quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments to quickly prototype, design and implement ideas and projects.
  • Generate documentation and technical/functional specifications as needed. Participate in agile planning and scope estimation for team projects.

Ideal Candidate

  • Engineering talent demonstrated by excellent work experience, hobby projects, open-source contributions, or superior academic results.
  • Good understanding of interface design patterns and composition.
  • Experience working in an agile or lean software development environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in frontend development, specifically Javascript and Vue JS or React.
  • You are familiar with the following technology;
  • 3+ Years of Javascript (ES6)
  • 3+ Years of Vue JS/React
  • 2+ Years of Git
  • 1+ Year of WebSockets
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise and problem-solving skills
  • Strong English-language communication (verbal and written) and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, technically challenging environment with rapidly changing requirements.
  • A keen eye for design and understands the requirements for translating design documents and resources into a working web-based product.
  • Strong communication skills to maintain the channels between engineering and design, and to translate the concepts/ideas across efficiently and accurately.
  • Experience working independently in remote teams is a plus.
  • Experience with design tools such as Adobe Experience Design and Photoshop is a plus.

  • You are a passionate game developer and/or game player (PC, console, or mobile) who understands gamer culture.
  • You have an active GitHub profile with open-source contributions.
  • You have worked with design tools such as Photoshop, Sketch, or Illustrator to create interface mock-ups and designs.
