ROLE SUMMARY:

The core responsibilities include managing all planning, execution, measurement, and evaluation of existing partner marketing platforms for CLG. The portfolio features blue chip brands such as Bud Light, Logitech, Samsung, Spectrum, Squarespace, and others. The Manager will also assist in the brainstorming process for new sponsorship sales platform ideation, as well as work closely with CLG Marketing to strategize and execute key company initiatives.

The Manager will be responsible for assisting in the management of all CLG partner accounts, ranging from the larger corporate marketing partnerships at CLG to smaller partners. The Manager will assist on mid-to-large level company accounts, while working as part of a team in the direct management of smaller partner accounts.

Core responsibilities will include account activation, delivery of contractual assets, internal/external relationship management, sales platform ideation, and marketing team support. For account activation, the Manager will assist in the delivery of marketing programs, events, experiences, and/or hospitality. The Manager will track the scheduling, performance, and budget for contractual assets and utilize corresponding tools to ensure delivery in a strategic and mutually beneficial manner. For client external relationship management, the Manager will ensure that clients in his/her realm are engaged, communicated to, provided with performance recap summaries, and satisfied with their relationship with CLG. For internal relationship management, the Manager will directly with talent and player operations staff to ensure delivery of partnership assets across talent/player channels. For sales platform ideation, the Manager will work closely with CLG Marketing to brainstorm new sales opportunities. For marketing team support, the Manager will assist in the ideation and execution of key CLG brand initiatives throughout the year.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS/ACTIVITIES SUMMARY:

  • Assist in the progress of partner marketing initiatives and execution of assets; lead day-to-day execution on small accounts and support leadership on larger accounts (and in some cases lead on larger accounts as well); work closely with all departments at CLG/MSG to produce, schedule, and monitor contractual asset delivery.
  • Assist leadership in the development of evaluation materials for assigned accounts by obtaining and inputting performance metrics to achieve renewals and drive upsells. This includes tracking/reporting assets throughout the year and creating recap summary presentations.
  • Manage account fulfillment budgets, pro player requests, content requests, and additional internal approval processes related to sponsorship business.
  • Maintain strong relationships with CLG’s pro players, content creators, and player operations staff to ensure timely and efficient delivery of partnership assets specific to talent
  • Assist direct and non-direct supervisors in Account Management in the measurement of key drivers of success for each account, including account Return on Objectives (ROO), marketing support, upsells, and renewals
  • Lead sponsorship activation on-site at CLG-run live events (e.g., viewing parties, tailgates, fan-fests)
  • Join and lead weekly/bi-weekly calls with key partner accounts
  • Work closely with CLG Marketing to strategize and execute key organizational brand initiatives, while also finding points of integration for CLG partners across these key initiatives via content, social, and digital campaigns
  • Identify key areas of growth and/or concern as it relates to CLG’s partnerships business and provide strategic solutions for addressing them, such as content creator growth strategy, D&I programming, charity initiatives, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of strategic consulting or account management experience; particularly in sports, esports, or entertainment sector
  • Extensive knowledge of and passion for the esports landscape (teams, leagues, tournaments, publishers, media) as well as marketing and advertising industries
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT etc.) and familiarity with new consumer technologies (social networks, etc.)
  • Experience developing new business and/or mining existing clients for incremental revenue
  • Experience in project management from a leadership role in both conceptualizing plan and execution
  • Knowledge of strategic marketing solutions and the ability to research and analyze a sponsor’s objectives coupled against our properties and their brand image
