Lightforge Games is looking for a Technical Artist!
We're looking for a Technical Artist with expertise in UE4/5 who can set up our art pipeline and help the art team realize their vision.
You'll play a critical role in shaping our game's look and how our artists work. We are open to a wide range of seniority levels with a focus on environments and lighting, asset pipelines and implementation, materials, shaders, and procedural generation.

Responsibilities
Discover and innovate creative solutions for procedurally generated environmental assets and lighting solutions.
Develop the tools and pipelines to allow our design and art teams to ship amazing game content at scale
Educate and support environmental artists and design teams on asset development and level design best practices
Ensure game art content is technically correct, functional, and within budget.
Collaboratively review art assets developed by in-house team members and outsourced teams, helping to ensure that everything we create is achieving our established quality and style standards.
Tactfully communicate ideas and feedback on how to improve artwork, processes, game design, and company culture.

Requirements
Experience in the following areas of technical art:
Lighting
Shaders
Modular Environment Pipelines
Materials
Procedural Generation
Tools & Pipeline Development
Performance
Asset Implementation
Fundamental knowledge of color, light, shape design, composition, and movement
Ability to communicate feedback in a concise and constructive way - including to resources external to the studio
Self-motivated and proactive, with ability to fully embrace a remote work culture.
Pluses
Working knowledge of Houdini
Python knowledge
Experience with multi-platform games and art requirements, particularly with Unreal
Character pipeline shader creation experience
