Product | Bubble Witch 3 Saga

We are looking for an experienced, innovative and creative Product Director to join an incredibly diverse team, working on one of the biggest and most successful mobile games in the world. As a Product Director, you will have responsibility and accountability for identifying opportunities to grow the game, define a long term vision and work with the game team to make it come true. You will join the Game Leadership team and work closely with the game team to execute on such opportunities and be in charge of creating innovative, engaging experiences for our players.

Your Role Within our Kingdom:

Reporting to the Head of Game, you will:

  • Define and own an ambitious long term game visions

  • Through the creative process, and in collaboration with market and player research, identify opportunities that can grow the game

  • Create the feature roadmap, product plan and direction

  • Assess the potential and value of features to make prioritizations

  • Lead the game team in bringing game experiences that have the potential to grow the game and generate new insights, from ideation to concept through to launch

  • Lead the game development teams with creative vision, feedback and context in the form of market and player insight and ensuring that their output consistently matches the high- quality game experience we are aiming for

  • Manage a small team of game designers and provide mentorship to game teams

  • Guide game development teams in scoping features in line with MVP ambition

  • Coach game development teams in game design decision making; when to pivot, when to stop, when to iterate.

  • Look to foster a culture of innovation within the game teams by playing and drawing inspiration from a wide range of games and other media, art and technology. To stay abreast of emerging industry trends

  • Ensure a player centric approach where we bring the best user experience and gameplay to everything, we deliver

Skills to create thrills

  • A deep understanding of the design challenges associated with casual, free to play, and mobile games.

  • A passion for creating new, compelling experiences that have an impact on our players

  • Combines creative excellence and solid commercial awareness.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability work with quantitative and qualitative data to inform and create the future direction of the product

  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and designs to cross- functional teams through wire- frames, mock- ups, product specifications and presentations as well as effective communication with other teams and individuals across King - such as Data Scientists, Game Developers, Producers and Marketeers.

  • You are familiar with psychological models concerning motivation and are therefore able to create extraordinary experiences for the player

  • You have a detailed knowledge of the games market and current consumer expectations

  • Experience of a live service with continuous releases

  • Experience working as a product manager

  • Experience in vision building and roadmap planning

  • Experience in working with designers and producers in planning how to execute plans

  • Ability to prioritize in the short term in order to meet longer- term plans

  • A humble and positive personality, who leads from the front but also takes people on the journey

  • Open to failing fast. Leans into issues quickly and actively shares their expertise and learnings with others - a role model

  • Passionate about gaming: you live and breathe games

  • You have been involved in the creation of F2P games or features before

  • You have managed a product P&L

  • Experience as a Product Manager or Business Performance Manager
