Job Description
As an Agile Team Coach, your mission is enable us to become the leading star of agile game development. We work to create and improve on social casual games that entertain millions of players and it’s up to the teams to create, design, architect and build high- quality, fun games - your role is to facilitate this, and to contribute your input to delivering one of the world’s largest mobile games to our extensive player base. Your role will be to drive continuous improvements and team dynamics, ensuring the teams run efficiently and at a sustainable pace. You really care about people, know how to motivate them, and have the ability to empower them to deliver in our high performing environment.
Your Role Within our Kingdom
- Motivate and strive for higher team performance to increase outcome.
- Encouraging healthy, open and positive communications within the group and with their connected groups, including strong and safe feedback culture.
- Continuously evaluating and improving the working process, together with the team and related teams; encouraging the team to define and visualize the "ways of working" and purposes/goals
- Ensuring a healthy and aligned approach to handling potential overlap in responsibilities (esp. decisions) with producers, product owners, team leads, stakeholders, etc.
- Improve the group dynamics (forming, storming, norming, performing)
- Create awareness around team health (for example, pulse surveys / improvement options) and internal motivation/ownership/autonomy/happiness
- Ensure / provide facilitation towards clear purposes, objectives, outcomes.
- Ensure planning is ongoing, responsive, appropriate, and highly visible
- Promote awareness and consequences of short- term thinking vs. sustainability and quality
- Help team identify and remove impediments
- Foster a learning and experimentation culture; challenge validity of learning/data
- Develop and give internal agile/lean training
- Promote understanding of the available data and benefits in agile/lean philosophy and principles
- Promote and create awareness of agile wins and non- agile areas that could improve
- Raise awareness of vision problems - tangibility/actionability, alignment, visibility (vision is PO/producer's responsibility)
- Raise awareness around people and process risks (fragility, people leaving, etc.)
- Act as conduit for agile industry trends, learnings, data points
Skills to Create Thrills
- Demonstrated experience as an Agile Team Coach/Scrum Master
- Great communication skills and the ability to challenge as required
- Knowledgeable of Lean principles and Mindset in product development
- Experience in coaching distributed teams remotely in different locations
- Experience in coaching multiple teams and prioritizing your responsibilities based on their different needs
Tasty bonus skills
- Previous experience as a product owner or developer
- Experience working in the gaming industry/ Good understanding of the Game development process
- Active member of the Agile community in your location
