Attention all full stack software engineers! We are hiring for a full stack software engineer, specializing in 1) Javascript (Preferably Typescript), 2) React, and 3) Node.

This is a 6 month contract opportunity to start, with chance of extension based on performance and role availability.

The Software Engineer provides engineering, architecture & quality guidance while supporting the quality engineering team as a whole to build robust tools that ensure we deliver leading tools and services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience working with Javascript/Typescript, React and Node.JS
  • Previous technical industry experience
  • Experience working on tools and development process improvements
  • Knowledge of at least one domain (database admin, automation, web, Micro services, SaaS, Cloud Solutions etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Presenting ideas and progress to stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life-Cycle processes
  • Modern testing methods
  • Software design patterns
  • Continuous integration
  • Ability to estimate effort (time) needed to complete tasks
  • Familiar with current generation consoles and devices (Xbox One, PS4, Windows 10, OSX, iOS and Android, etc.)

Daily/Weekly Tasks:

  • Work alongside a small team of Software Engineers
  • Follow quality standards through code reviews and design approvals
  • Test automation scripts
  • Collect and verify technical requirements for the project
  • Participate in the implementation plan that includes schedule, priorities, dependencies and deliverables
  • Collaborate with the team, driving innovation, and quality testing
  • Build relationships with local and remote developers and stakeholders
  • Takes responsibility for all tasks related to his/her assigned features

Additional Details:

  • Due to Covid, we want to ensure the safety of all of our employees, including you! So this role will be remote for the time being until we go back to office. Please note that you do have to be live in BC if you were to be hired on.
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9-5:30pm PST
  • Eligible applicants must be legally able to work in Canada (Canadian/Work Permit Holder/PR)
