After discovering that most children, especially girls, are put off learning to code and create, we set ourselves a challenge to invent the best ways to introduce professional digital skills to all newbies aged 8+. We created a fantasy Internet Universe filled with quirky characters, strange stories, magical worlds, and cute fluffy kittens, to inspire even the most reluctant technophobes!

Our company partnered with MIT after winning two of their Global Solve Challenges in 2017 and is being supported by Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation. We are currently building a much bigger and more gamified version of E.A.K. (Erase All Kittens) teaching HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - the languages of all websites and web apps.

We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for digital marketing and copywriting - with a fun and quirky tone of voice to create attention-grabbing posts which are specific to our story-driven adventure game and mission. Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills are a must. Basic design skills, particularly in Illustrator, is a bonus. Our ideal candidate will use results to inform decisions in an organised way, combining this with creativity, to achieve strong results.

Tasks will include creating engaging content and sharing on social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Medium, LinkedIn), working on ideas for cost-effective digital marketing campaigns, contacting schools, educational organisations, and parent groups to increase sign-ups, and identifying opportunities for content promotion and distribution partnerships. As well as copywriting, researching, blogging, and other admin tasks.

You must have excellent creative writing skills with a strong understanding of digital marketing, particularly social media/content marketing, and adapting writing styles for different audiences. In addition to analyse data (e.g. Google Analytics) in order to optimise results. Strong communication and organisational skills (both team-oriented and self-motivated), passion for growth hacking and making an impact, as well as strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks across projects are essential.

Bonus points if you have basic design principles/Illustrator knowledge, to create posts using existing assets. A Degree in English/Marketing/Advertising/Communications or a Portfolio/website would be desirable.

The candidate accepted for this role will be remote working with no requirement to attend a work location during the 6-month internship.
