Infinity Ward has opened a brand new studio in Austin, TX. The studio will work on creating new and innovative experiences for Call of Duty® and create innovative technology to power them. Your Mission

We are looking for a passionate and versatile Level Designer to join Infinity Ward. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with experienced designers on envisioning, designing, and ultimately implementing new multiplayer maps and points of interest on large scale open world maps. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for adding and maintaining core logic features which allow these levels to function such as – AI spawning systems, loot nodes, pregame in-fill sequences, etc.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Envision, pitch, design/document, and then build exciting core multiplayer levels

  • Apply core map level building principals to Points of Interest inside an open world map

  • Demonstrate “what good looks like” to junior members of the level design team while mentoring and in some cases onboarding and training new hires

  • Maintain the quality and stability of your work from creation to ship via bug fixing and peer review-based feedback iteration

  • Actively engage in peer reviews of other levels and game modes

Player Profile

Experience

  • 1+ years of proven experience in a designer or level designer role

  • Shipped at least one project, ideally action RPG or FPS genre in a level design role

  • Familiarity with game editor tools such as Radiant, Unreal, Unity or Crytek Editors

  • A strong demonstrable portfolio of personal and/or professional work

Knowledge & Skills

  • Self-motivated, proactive teammate with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • A deep interest, and passion for First Person Shooter (FPS) games
