You live and breath video post production. You’re a Motion Graphics Designer who has a knack for editing, or you’re an editor who loves to color, or some combination of these. And better yet, you’re just good at everything related to post production – editing, coloring, and motion graphics.

You will work closely with our team of producers, editors, and cinematographers to achieve our goal of becoming the leader in esports video content. You will have creative freedom to influence the look and feel of all our content by handling and finishing our videos.

You’ll support various post-production needs for our main series, for our social media content, and you’ll take lead on a variety of content pieces from editing to final export. This multifaceted role will also provide for many opportunities to expand your skill set in different areas within post production. Tech-savvy leadership skills and a keen eye for aesthetics are a plus, as we look to maximize your potential. It’s important to work towards your strengths and not your weaknesses. We are a tightly knit video production department that functions under the larger umbrella of Immortals. We create content for all the esports teams under Immortals. Our teams play competitively in the biggest gaming competitions in Super Smash Bros, Overwatch, Dota 2, CS:GO, Arena of Valor, Clash Royale, and more. You will work closely with our passionate team of producers, editors, and cinematographers to achieve our goal of becoming the leader in esports video content.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • You are excited and passionate about storytelling through video content
  • You are hands on and do the work yourself, and you have a deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – there isn’t a day that Premiere and After Effects aren’t open on your desktop
  • You have experience with social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and Snapchat, and maybe you’ve dabbled in Twitch

Responsibilities:

  • Finish a variety of our series and video content – including, editing, coloring, motion graphics design and animation, sound editing and basic sound design
  • Lead brand & motion graphics ideation and creation, including: Creating logos, graphical intros, lower thirds, and bumpers
  • Act as editor on select video projects
  • Work with producers to create video content, including gathering elements and developing the visual flow and story
  • Help define the direction of our content with a keen eye for current trends, aesthetics, and storytelling
  • Assistant editor for our projects: offload & ingest footage, project organization, prepping transcription files, initial scene cutting
  • Support all post-production: create and maintain post production schedules, research best practices, hone your skills as a motion graphics designer, as a colorist

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree prefered but not mandatory, ideally with a major in Film/Television, or with equivalent work experience

  • Experience in documentary and/or sports editing and/or shooting preferred
