Hypersonic is working on HELIX, the ultimate open world sandbox. Build and play immersive massive worlds with incredible UE5-powered graphics and 1000+ players. From FPS games to RP servers to MMORPGs and social hubs, anything is possible in HELIX.

About the job

You will lead a dynamic international remote team of 3D and Unreal Artists to develop AAA-quality assets from initial concept through to completion. You’ll plan work and manage the needs of the art team while balancing the commercial needs of the business, delivering high quality assets on schedule and according to spec.


  • Lead and mentor a team of artists, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure the highest quality of artistic output.
  • Work with outsourcing art production teams where needed.
  • Ensure that artistic assets align with project timelines, technical specifications, and overall design goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve and innovate the artistic process.
  • Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding of new artists, fostering a positive and creative team culture.
  • Ensure that assets are produced and integrated according to quality standards.
  • Provide your team members with regular reviews and feedback, helping them improve in a clear and constructive way.
  • Maintain efficient collaboration between the team members and other dependent teams.
  • Share knowledge and recommend best practices.


  • 5+ years games industry experience.
  • Experience as a Lead Artist, preferably on 1+ Unreal Engine projects.
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprints.
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills.
  • Experience in team leadership and management.
  • Wide range of experience in all areas of game art, including creation of characters, animation, creation of 3D objects, particle effects and environments.
  • Stunning portfolio that demonstrates expertise in modelling, texturing and Unreal Engine.
  • Online communication, team-collaboration skills, and English fluency.
