High Voltage Software Studios is seeking an experienced and passionate Audio Designer to join our innovative team.
This is a hybrid position and requires individual to be local to Hoffman Estates, IL or New Orleans, LA.
What you'll do:
Collaborate closely with the audio team to conceptualize, design, and implement top-notch audio assets for our video game projects.
Leverage your expertise in utilizing audio middleware, specifically Wwise, for interactive and adaptive audio implementation.
Work collaboratively with designers and developers to ensure seamless integration of audio elements, aligning with the game's creative vision and technical requirements.
Contribute to sound design, mixing, and post-production to achieve the desired level of audio excellence and immersion.
Play a role in developing and maintaining audio pipelines and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Address and troubleshoot audio-related technical challenges to guarantee optimal audio performance across various gaming platforms.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in audio technology, bringing innovative solutions to the forefront.
Requirements
3+ years of experience as an audio designer in the game industry
Expertise in utilizing Wwise, for interactive and adaptive audio implementation, ensuring a dynamic gaming experience.
Proficiency in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing high-quality audio assets for video games, aligning with the creative vision.
Capability in sound design, mixing, and post-production to deliver immersive audio experiences that meet the desired level of excellence, enhancing player engagement.
Demonstrated competence in working with audio for virtual reality (VR) environments, understanding the unique challenges and spatial requirements of VR sound.
Strong collaborative skills to seamlessly integrate audio elements with designers and developers, ensuring alignment with creative vision and technical requirements.
