Haven Studios is a game development studio headquartered in Montreal. In May 2021, we embarked on a journey to start Haven as a small team with big ambitions. Our goal was to build a studio of exceptional people where together we could make the kind of games we’ve always wanted to create – games we’ve longed to play. Haven joined the PlayStation Studios family as the first Sony game development team in Canada in 2022.

We have made amazing progress in a short time thanks to our talented, passionate team and their excellent contributions. Our first game, Fairgames, is in development for PlayStation and PC. Fairgames is a competitive multiplayer action heist with a vision to build a systemic and evolving world focused on freedom, thrill and playfulness that will entertain and engage players for years to come.

Position – Community Manager

We are looking for an experienced Community Manager who will take on the challenge to help grow the profile of Haven, create and expand the digital presence of Fairgames, represent Fairgames online, and engage directly with our players. You will support business and marketing objectives by being the link between our community of players and our internal development team - managing assets, communication channels and building a positive, vibrant, and inclusive experience in and out of our game, with the goal to retain and engage our players. You are a creative problem solver and are resourceful in ensuring you achieve your objectives.

Reporting

The Community Manager will report to the Player Experience Lead.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • In collaboration with the Player Experience and Marketing teams, build and execute a holistic community engagement strategy that supports and aligns to our marketing efforts, grows a welcoming and inclusive community, and delivers player centric communications.

  • Maintain a dialogue with our players, actively participating in discussions in ways that reflect our studio values of kindness, adaptability and courage that make space for creative excellence.

  • Coordinate with the development team to establish and action player feedback loops with the goal of bringing us closer to our players, representing our community to the dev team, and guiding a deep understanding of player motivations.

  • Create written and visual content, in partnership with the Studio Content Creation team, that aids in delivery of the overall community and social media strategy.

  • Develop communications to support events both online and in-person, to include activations such as live streams, online tests, and trade shows.

  • Establish KPIs around engagement and retention, and demonstrate the success and ROI of community projects by monitoring player sentiment and continuously optimizing performance, reporting on these insights regularly to help support our goal to be a creative led and data informed development team at Haven.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing communities, and creating and executing player engagement strategies.

  • Experience building engaged communities across multiple platforms, regions, and audiences.

  • Previous experience with player moderation and conversation management in a digital/online environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Community Management for multiplayer online communities at a AA+ scale.

  • Experience in digital media asset creation, including live streaming and hosting.

  • Fluent in French and English.
