As the Deputy Editor of GosuGamers India, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the editorial direction of our platform. You will work closely with the Managing Editor and other team members to curate, edit, and produce high-quality content that resonates with our target audience of passionate gamers and esports enthusiasts in India. This is a remote position, and you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of writers, editors, and contributors.

Responsibilities:

Content Strategy: Collaborate with the Managing Editor to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our goals and audience preferences.
Content Creation: Write, edit, and oversee the creation of articles, features, news stories, interviews, and other types of content related to gaming and esports in India.
Editing: Review and edit articles for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and style, ensuring that all content meets high editorial standards.
Content Planning: Assist in the editorial calendar planning, ensuring a steady flow of engaging content that covers relevant topics, events, and developments in the Indian gaming and esports scene.
Team Collaboration: Manage and coordinate a team of writers and contributors, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them produce their best work.
Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, news, and developments in the gaming and esports industry, especially within the Indian context.
Community Engagement: Engage with our audience through comments, social media, and other channels to foster a sense of community and gather feedback.
SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to improve the discoverability of our content and drive organic traffic to the website.
Reporting: Monitor and analyses content performance metrics and provide regular reports to the Managing Editor on the effectiveness of content strategies.

Requirements:

Passion for Gaming and Esports: A deep understanding of the gaming and esports industry, with a keen interest in the Indian gaming scene.
Editorial Experience: Proven experience in writing, editing, and content creation, preferably in a gaming/esports or similar niche.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of writers and contributors effectively.
