Gearbox Software is seeking an experienced AI Programmer to join our team. This position will be directly involved in bringing our AI to life.

Responsibilities:

• Work with existing code, design, and animation teams
• Implement Artificial Intelligence functionality and enhancements
• Innovate and improve upon AI tools and technology

Required Skills:

• Computer Science degree and/or 2 years game industry experience
• Familiarity with game industry standards in AI
• Must be able to work well in a team environment
• Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
• Excellent C++ and OOP skills

Bonus Points:

• Action Shooter Gameplay experience
• Experience coding game AI
• Experience with bot support
• Experience with Unreal Engine and/or familiarity with other AI navigation and behavior systems
• Familiarity with design patterns and software architecture
• Experience with version control systems (Perforce, Git, etc.)
• Current and/or next generation console experience
