Garena is looking for a highly motivated individual in the gaming industry to help one of our products gain more competitive awareness in the Brazilian local market.

This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the necessary projects to promote competitive and eSports scenarios in the market, including utilizing all channels to promote the initiative to players and ensuring the execution is well delivered.

We look for a young professional who is passionate about games, especially highly competitive genres like MOBA, FPS and Battle Royale, highly communicative, and able to drive the whole process with strong ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Community self-organized tournament management
  • Mid-long term competitive scenario planning, from community tournament to pro-league, able to build up the roadmap with guidance for the product
  • Esports (community online tournament) planning, promotion schedule planning, League Ops planning and execution, teams and pro players' management
  • Management of vendors to help on the execution of the activities, aligning with stakeholders throughout the process
  • Esports reviewing and results reporting
  • Monitoring competitors/competitive scenario
  • Help with Community-related tasks whenever needed

Qualifications

  • Preferable undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism
  • 1+ years of experience in Esports and/or Community Management
    • We need someone that has at least a basic understanding of Esports and the local competitive scenario and can learn and execute
    • Experience working in the gaming industry is a plus
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Natural communicator, able to negotiate and convince people
  • Intermediary level of MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, able to analyze the Esports performance
  • Interested/familiar with either Mobile MOBA, PC MOBA, Battle Royale or FPS games

KPIs

  • Development of the product’s esports brand recognition as a leader in the market
  • Curation of all esports contents to make sure they are performing and being relevant
  • Development of the tournament concepts and structures
  • Management of vendors, aligning with stakeholders throughout the process
  • Guarantee that all Esports communications are aligned across different channels
  • Weekly reports of the Esports performance
  • Approve all esports content before it’s published
