What you’ll achieve (outcomes vs what people will do)
- Architect the client, server, workflows, support systems, and integrations for the game.
- Develop a technical design over the course of prototyping and pre-production that supports the objectives of the game, and maintain it as needed.
- Plan and deliver clean, effective tools, workflows and pipelines for all aspects of development.
- Evaluate engines, SDKs, internal tools, and 3rd party applications and plan their integration as needed.
- Communicate the tech design across the game team to gain buy in and alignment.
- Set, propagate, and maintain high standards for code quality.
- Oversee the tech design and review process of all game systems.
- Create and enforce code quality standards and review guidelines together with the engineering team.
- Establish an automated testing methodology and oversee its implementation.
- Provide input and solutions on bug triage and resolution.
- Ensure the stability and performance of the game.
- Assess performance and stability targets based on the objectives of the game and audience profile.
- Devise and institute mechanisms across the team to enforce those targets.
- Scale the game’s assets and systems to meet targets across the full range of supported devices.
- Identify key technical systems required for the project .
- Own the project’s relationship with core tech and help set best practices for engineering across the company.

- Expert technical knowledge of mobile game development from prototype to live operations.
- High standards for technical excellence and accountability for the team and yourself.
- Candor and humility to operate as a partner within the game’s leadership team.
- Razor-sharp analytical skills to solve architectural problems, negotiate technical constraints, and resolve the trickiest bugs.
- Commitment to supporting a cross-discipline team with quality tools and technical assistance as needed.
- Flexibility to find the right answer for the project, based on resource constraints, regardless of who built it or where the idea came from.
