Started by former Xbox game designer Elan Lee and The Oatmeal’s founder Matt Inman, Exploding Kittens and its family of games recreates game night for a humorous and fun person-to-person experience. Today, there are over a dozen games and expansions available for purchase: Exploding Kittens, Bears vs Babies, You’ve Got Crabs, Throw Throw Burrito, On a Scale of One to T-Rex, Poetry for Neanderthals A Game of Cat & Mouth, Tacocat Spelled Backwards, A Little Wordy, as well as mobile app games Kitty Letter and Exploding Kittens, one of the top 30 premium games on both iOS and Android.

At Exploding Kittens, the Marketing team is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of go-to-market plans and marketing & advertising campaigns for global product releases. As the International Marketing Manager, you’ll plan and manage the day-to-day execution of cohesive marketing, content, and communication strategies and coordinate ongoing marketing efforts to grow awareness and engagement for our games in key markets outside North America. You will have a passion for our mission, games, and technology; be a strategic and creative thinker; have a can-do attitude, and showcase excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills to drive impact across different teams.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Work with the Marketing team on the execution of international go-to-market strategies for EK’s product portfolio. Lead and execute creative and innovative international campaign strategies that integrate mass-media, PR, social media, retail marketing and other promotional activities, and tactics that engage target audience---collaborating, managing, and effectively communicating cross-functionally with Product Development, Creative, PR, Sales, Finance, Customers, Distributors, and external agencies
  • Adapt domestic marketing materials, positioning and campaign elements for international needs. Create and produce international marketing plans that effectively set objectives, key messaging, positioning, and identify target audiences
  • Be a brand champion and help deepen the understanding of the game’s brand values, guidelines, and expectations to ensure a consistent approach across all marketing channels and consumer touch points in international markets
  • Collaborate with internal and external creative teams and manage agencies and marketing partners---developing and providing briefs, along with timely, clear, and insightful feedback
  • Work with localization, creative and-production teams to localize, version, and deliver campaign creative for publicity, direct response, media, social and partner teams as needed
  • Own international campaign goals and performance metrics; monitor regularly to optimize and understand the effectiveness of the strategy and creative---providing timely and thoughtful recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and manage partner relationships; communicate international campaign goals, present creative and deliver assets to multiple partners
  • Consolidate and present key information into on-brand, visually appealing decks for internal and external stakeholders

WHAT WE NEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of marketing experience in Consumer Products, Entertainment, Games, or related industries
  • Highly strategic with sharp project management, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of traditional brand frameworks including, The Marketing Mix, the marketing funnel, and the five C’s of strategic marketing
  • Proven track record of building marketing plans and operations across multiple channels, including but not limited to: digital marketing, TV media, social media, OOH, influencer marketing, radio, SEO, ASO, email, and promotional partnerships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written to convey market dynamics, strategies, tactics, rationale, and results, to peers, agencies, partners and executive stakeholders
  • A PowerPoint/Keynote guru!
  • A demonstrated track record of building consensus and delivering results
  • Experience managing a portfolio of products, setting priorities, and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Second language (French, German or Spanish) is a a plus and preferred
