Our social channels are a massive part of our growth. The social channels are there not only to engage our fans, but also to create further awareness and to grow our brand globally. There’s already a huge amount of social ‘noise’, so the challenge is to come up with new ways that will deliver cut-through to reach our fans and followers, but also positions the EXCEL ESPORTS brand in the right way. Aside from supporting fan engagement across social channels and analysing the impact of our social campaigns, this role provides recommendations for improvements and also creates social content that appeals to the wider gamer community.

The Social Content Producers form the foundation of our social team, feeding valuable campaign insight to inform content plans and nurturing conversations to fuel our audience growth.

The perfect candidate is a social media executive who already has experience creating content for FIFA on TikTok and YouTube, as well as a strong passion for data and analysis.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create amazing and original FIFA content that you’re proud of for YouTube shorts and TikTok
  • Analyse all FIFA related social media posts and campaigns, using data and insights to make recommendations and improve performance.
  • Monitor relevant trending conversations across TikTok and YouTube and participate as XL to amplify our growth.
  • Manage a repository of creative and campaign learnings – what works and what doesn’t.
  • Track competitor campaigns and report on latest industry trends.
  • Continuously research memes, formats and channels to keep XL at the cutting-edge of social.
  • Collaborate with the wider team on developing and executing campaigns.
  • Support the Social Media Team and contribute to the development of content plans.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years social media experience working in a similar role.
  • Passion for gaming and esports and experience working within it.
  • Highly analytical and strong understanding of social campaign data, with experience in creating meaningful reports on organic & paid social activity.
  • Proven track record of using insights to develop social content that delivers against engagement and audience growth targets in the FIFA space
  • Knowledge of social analytics such as YouTube Analytics, TikTok Analytics and Sprout Social.
  • Foundation in successfully engaging with gamers to maximise the value of social media campaigns.
  • Knows the strategic landscape of social media in the gaming space.
  • Outstanding copywriting skills with an authentic tone that resonates with our FIFA fans.
  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment, working well under pressure.
  • Native level oral and written English

  • Self-starter who is a team player that takes initiative, with strong interpersonal skills.

Optional

  • Strong familiarity with FIFA. Some familiarity with Valorant and League of legends is a plus.
  • Experiencing with various growth hack initiatives.
  • Additional language skills You must have the right to work in the UK and be commutable from East London (We offer Hybrid working 3 days per week onsite + Remote).
