This position is available as either 100% remote in the EU or you can work at our headquarters in Cologne, Germany where many of our engineering team are situated.

As a member of a team you will be able to research and make tech decisions, implement best practices and provide input & feedback as to how your team builds new features.

Your Future Tasks:

  • Researching & evaluating methods and technologies for how your team builds software
  • Technical vision for your products
  • Providing code reviews and suggesting best practices to ensure code quality
  • Estimating and planning work with your team
  • Research on new tools, practices and their impact
  • New features & bug fixes implemented
  • Documentation in our documentation tool (Confluence)
  • Tests written or updated
  • Issues kept up to date & work logged in our issue tracker (JIRA)

Your profile

Must-haves:

  • 3+ yearsโ€™ experience in frontend development
  • Experience building and debugging complex frontend systems in a team environment
  • Experience making tech decisions and coordinating with other development teams
  • You will need to be able to work as part of a team
  • You often need to be able to work together with other development teams
  • You will help mentor other engineers
  • Modern frontend development experience with frameworks (preferred Angular 2+ & AngularJS)
  • Experience with state (preferred RxJS and NrgRx)
  • Experience with testing frameworks (preferred Jest/Karma)

Nice to have:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Web Development or a related field
  • Typescript
  • Android/iOS development experience
  • Hybrid mobile development (Ionic or similar)
  • Drupal
  • React/Vue
  • Sass/LESS
  • Continuous Integration/Delivery (preferably Gitlab)
  • Docker & Kubernetes
  • UI/UX design experience
  • Experience playing online games or knowledge of esports
