What we do
Epic Games is growing and is looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer to enhance the ability for developers and creators to engage players in our ecosystem.
What you'll do
Participate in the thoughtful evolution of Epic’s achievement platform offerings, defining and evaluating how the trade-offs we make affect players, developers and creators. Drive technical product excellence within the team, ensuring we are iterating quickly, shipping safely and have visibility into customer impact.
Responsibilities:
- Build REST/RPC based services anticipating change and growth
- Build high throughput event driven processes
- Build workflows for managing partner assets
- Operate what you build ensuring visibility in to the health of the system
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience successfully building distributed systems
- Proven understanding of the limitations & strengths of different data stores
- Applied knowledge of patterns for application resilience
- Demonstrated experience with system health, monitoring, and troubleshooting for distributed systems
