Elsewhere is hiring a Marketing and Community Manager to help us spread the world about our upcoming co-op multiplayer game. Our game captures the aesthetic and soul of indie games, the replayability and depth of roguelikes, and the ambition to become a forever game that reaches millions of players.

As our first marketing hire, you’ll own the entire public face of our game and burgeoning game studio. That includes ownership of our Discord and social media accounts and the creation of media and marketing materials. Even better, it means scheming up strategic projects to bring gamers and fans together.

Note that our team works in-person out of a beautiful converted industrial space in the Mission District here in San Francisco, CA. Relocation assistance is available.

Your Profile

  • You understand social media and community management. Perhaps you’ve built a massive following on a major social media platform, or led a large online community.

  • You’re analytical when it comes to the performance of your content, and are honest with yourself and your team when something just isn’t working.

  • You love games and the culture surrounding them. You’ve played more games than you can count and have strong opinions on who the best creators are online.

  • You’re creative. You bring a founder’s mindset to game development. That means you’re excited about experimenting novel ways a game studio can reach and engage fans.

  • You’re ambitious. You want to be an early part of something big. Something massive potential that players are going to absolutely love. You want to work at a game studio that pushes the envelope of games as a medium.

  • You’re collaborative. You’re excited to work closely our founder, game artists, game engineers, our community, and more.

  • You’re scrappy. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and do work outside of your job description. You can get very far with a small marketing budget.

You might also have:

  • Experience with image editing, web design, and/or video editing.

  • Experience marketing a game through an early access program.
