EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to provide outstanding visuals, audio and technology. Our teams consist of artists, engineers, technicians, designers and development directors. Worldwide, we combine our teams to form a global group of extraordinary individuals fueled by imagination and a unified passion for creating amazing visuals, sound and experiences. EA Create Animation is an award-winning team creating animation content for numerous titles focused on uniting creative talents and technical expertise to guide industry-leading animation. There are many exciting projects underway, and we produce progressive animation content for in-game products from multiple studio locations.

As a Development Manager you will join the Create Animation team to manage the scope and budget for internal projects using waterfall methodologies. You will bring passion for both people and project management to provide daily production partnership to internal creative teams.

The Development Manager will report to the Development Director

This is a hybrid role based onsite in Vancouver Canada 

This role is temporary with a duration of 12 months

Qualifications:

  • Manage tasks and delivery milestones across the Animation domain for a project

  • Inform the Create Animation capacity plan, project scoping and planning, and change requests

  • Identify and resolve potential roadblocks, while balancing priorities and mitigating risks

  • Reconcile basic financial information for reporting

  • Partner with Create Animation and game development teams to ensure clear alignment

  • Champion adherence to Create Animation operational best practices while making process improvements to enhance partnerships and outcomes

Requirements:

  • 3 or more years Project Management or Project Coordination experience

  • Collaboration with all levels within a distributed team across multiple time zones

  • Proficient in project management tools, such as JIRA

  • Proficient in Waterfall methodologies

  • Knowledge of the creative process and the impact to project timelines

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 
PAY RANGES * British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.  In Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
