Deviation Games is looking for a Senior Tools Engineer to join their growing team!
Responsibilities
- Create new workflows and improve existing ways of handling data builds / game systems
- Architect and flesh-out solid APIs used by dozens of engineers across studios
- Iterate on user experience, performance and stability of tools to empower developers to create best-in-class games
- Work closely alongside game teams ensuring state-of-the-art workflows and in-game performance
Requirements
- Excellent C++ and software architecture skills
- Eager to learn and enjoys being a team-player
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Familiar with proper unit test flows, continuous integration (CI) and releases over the lifetime of a product
- Knowing how to profile memory, and CPU performance and analyze profiling data
- Passion for User Experience (UX) and UI design
Bonus Requirements
- Developed engines or engine architectures, familiar with large scale game dev
- Experience in Python, or C# scripting languages
- Background in 3D scene and entity systems, open world level of detail, streaming and hierarchical optimizations with multi-user workflows
- Focus on data-oriented design and unit testing processes
- Experience with agile development
