Our successful studios are continuing to grow and we are looking for a Graphics Programmer to join the expanding Engineering Team. Our studios, part of the Keywords Studios Group, work on multiple exciting projects at any one time offering plenty of variety and involvement.

We have been established over 13 years and our studio projects have included Hogwart’s Legacy, Vampire: The Masquerade - Blood Hunt, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Alan Wake Remastered, Mafia II: Definitive Edition and EA Sports FC24.

Our studios are based near Daresbury, Cheshire and Gateshead, Tyne and Wear where we offer an amazingly professional, fun and supportive working environment. The Role – Graphics Programmer

A Graphics Programmers at d3t and Coconut Lizard can expect to work on cutting edge technology with high profile clients on AAA games to create the best visual and preformat experiences for gamers. Our Graphics Programmers are always in demand and have the opportunity to work with some of the best graphics engineering teams in the industry, using new and exciting techniques and hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Programming high performance, low level, console and PC graphics code.

  • Research and Development of new graphics techniques.

  • Porting graphics codebases to new hardware and new rendering APIs.

  • Planning, implementing and delivering high quality prototypes, systems, shaders and tools.

  • GPU profiling, debugging and optimizing to get the best performance on the target hardware.

  • Work on a variety of projects, hardware, and games across a variety of visual styles.

  • Collaborating with multiple disciplines to gather requirements, test, review and update on progress.

  • Communicate effectively and work with local and global graphics teams.

  • Sharing knowledge with the rest of the team.

Requirements

Essential Experience + Skills

  • Experience: 2+ years

  • Languages: C++ and shader languages

  • Knowledge: Rendering techniques, analysis and performance

  • Confidence: Will take on any challenge or responsibility

  • Teamwork: Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting others

  • Communication: Excellent

Desirable Skills

  • Console development

  • Porting games

We offer a flexible working policy – the role can be hybrid, remote (UK based only) or studio based at either of our studio sites - d3t (Runcorn, Cheshire) or Coconut Lizard (Gateshead, Tyne & Wear).
