Position Summary

The Tools Engineer role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining asset pipelines, workflows and tools technologies across multiple projects and platforms from content creation through to the game engine. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the tools and editors related to internal game asset pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain DCC pipeline tools
  • Work within the Tools team on a wide range of areas in an established codebase, including our asset pipelines and game tools.
  • Work within a schedule to deliver features and fixes effectively to deadlines
  • Improve and maintain existing tools, workflows, and user experience for the development team
  • Implement features to specification defined by the Technical Lead/Principal Engineer.

Position Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience building or maintaining large scale/complex game development tools
  • Strong skills in C# and C++
  • Expertise within object-oriented analysis and design
  • A good eye for High Quality UX/UI
  • A service minded attitude and a collaborative mindset

Bonus

  • Experience with desktop application frameworks like WPF, WinForm or Qt.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining an asset pipeline.
  • Shipped one or more game titles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • A strong passion for computer games.
