Are you interested in leading a team of web engineers who work closely with product design and other product-focused engineers to create performant, beautiful and consistent experiences? Caffeine is looking for a hands-on web engineering manager who is passionate about technology, business insights and people leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Define, own and communicate the team’s vision.
  • Grow and build a strong web engineering team.
  • Be a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable getting into the code, talking technical strategy and being a mentor to the engineers.
  • You will manage day-to-day web engineering operations.
  • You will own the technical roadmap and delivery of services that powers the product.
  • You will work with the leads and architects to define technical strategy to grow our web platform.
  • You will build a culture around shipping greatness, quality and customer focused approach.

Who You Are & What You've Done

  • 8+ years of engineering experience building web architecture and platforms.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
  • You have a full understanding of the web technologies, protocols and have built highly performant web products.
  • Experience building consumer application at scale.
  • Experience building and owning technical roadmaps.
  • Experience in one or more of React+Redux (or equivalents in Vue, Angular, etc.), or another lisp-like language.
  • Experience with advanced Javascript concepts and have built highly interactive and dynamic websites.
  • Ability to learn and understand new technologies/languages quickly.
  • You have worked on a single product/project for 2+ years or through multiple releases over 1+ years.
