The Talent Programs Director plays a key role on supporting our studio culture by designing and implementing a broad range of talent focused program’s that support both short term and long-term strategic objectives.

We are seeking an experienced Talent Management professional to help us define and deliver impactful talent programs that will make Bungie Studios the best place to work, learn and build a career. The Talent Programs Director will define, build and lead a suite of programs that deliver organizational capability and readiness to drive our strategy and fuel company growth aspirations. This includes building a strong talent programs foundation to provide an exceptional employee experience, empowering and enabling managers and leaders, and developing effective implementations that accelerate business performance. This also includes providing a strong operational leadership and requires a tight partnership with HR Operations and IT to enable modern implementations, processes and tools to support our growing business. The Talent Programs Director will partner with the CPO and Business Leaders to support the talent agenda and architect, develop, and manage a variety of talent management programs. This includes an integrated approach to talent management, including talent assessment and calibration, flexible and intentional career development and learning approaches, effective succession planning and effective management and leadership development programs. These approaches must be anchored in clear roles, ladders and career tracks with an intentional design and consistent framework.

The ideal candidate is a transformational, hands on leader who has a passion for leading talent management and development programs, developing ongoing learning experiences, making an impact on employee engagement and the business success, and is known as an “attractor of talent” with a strong record of building and managing top HR teams.

The Talent Programs Director reports into the CPO.

With the uncertainty and rapidly changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, most positions at Bungie are expected to onboard and work from home for a significant portion of 2021. In 2022, most Bungie employees will adopt a flexible schedule working from home part time (outside of positions identified as either 100% onsite or fully remote in WA & CA). Currently only a select range of positions are available for full-time remote work in WA & CA (please review location for details). Prospective employees located outside of CA & WA will need to establish WA state residency within 45 days of a start date. Bungie’s work from home, flexible work schedule, and remote policy is subject to change at the company’s discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with Studio leadership to define, recommend and build high-impact, scalable talent programs, including talent assessment and calibration, career development, learning and development, manager/leader capability and succession planning, and workforce retention.
  • Develops integrated long-term strategy and roadmap for talent management programs in alignment with Studio strategy and People Team priorities
  • Partners with Business Leaders and the People Team to implement and support the end-to end talent agenda, development and delivery of performance cycles, and transformational talent programs.
  • Leads, develops and grows a strong, happy, high quality Talent Management team capable of delivering effective, impactful business solutions.
  • Partners with HR Operations and IT to understand and align on effective modern solutions, processes and technologies for job architecture and compensation programs to inform talent programs, enhance employee experience, and enable people leaders.
  • Ensures talent programs have business relevance with a’ test and learn’ approach- partnering with Business Leader to continually assess talent programs for quality, business impact, scalability and suitability.
  • Own and create the performance management philosophy and direct the performance evaluation process
  • Key contributor in the creation and maintenance of performance management tools and standards of performance.
  • Collects and analyzes data to inform succession planning and targeted leadership development
  • Participates in organizational strategic planning
  • Develops learning and development programs and resources to deliver on the talent management strategy.
  • Drives, maintains, and evolves the annual Employee Engagement surveys, as well as the post survey response plan
  • Partners with the D&I Lead to create and maintain an environment of equal opportunity and diversity in support of Bungie’s Diversity and inclusion strategic plan.
  • Ensures the development, and integration and adoption of inclusive approaches to all talent management and learning programs.
  • Drives, maintains, and improves existing talent programs, identifying needs, and scaling programs to support the growing business.
  • Conducts presentations and learning programs to a variety of audiences
  • Ensures that talent studio wide and talent and performance management initiatives are aligning in improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Works with the HRIS managers to collect and coordinate aggregate data for the talent poll and translate that data into insights through data analysis to driven deliberate talent action plans.
  • Partners with external vendors as needed to support the talent related programs

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proven experience with the development of talent management frameworks, models and approaches including performance management, learning and development programs, career development and succession planning, including at least 3 years of senior leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading design, planning, implementation and execution of talent programs, including strong partnership with HR Ops team, tools and systems
  • Demonstrable leadership presence with the ability to collaborate with, influence and inspire senior leaders and others at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience building, growing, and managing top performing HR teams and talent
  • Proven experience with designing and implementing full-cycle performance management programs
  • Strategic systems thinking with an ability to connect talent practices with business strategy outcomes
  • Experience leading and implementing larger scale, organizational-wide, change
  • Experience in capturing metrics and producing various employment reports
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Thorough understanding of HR best practices, as well as applicable polices and federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
