Bungie is looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Visual Design in Publishing Creative Studios (CS). In this role, you will direct our core design deliverables across all Bungie products. You will oversee the Brand Design, Visual Design and the Web Experiences (UX/UI) teams whose content excites our players and delivers against Publishing and Business goals. Collaborating closely with Creative Directors, marketing/product managers, development Art Directors, and your counterparts in Art, Media, and Production, you’ll empower a team of industry leading designers to create world class designs that effectively represents our games, establish future-facing brand systems and direct our team on best practices. You understand the power of trusted teams and work diligently to mentor, guide, and upgrade the craft of our designers to deliver their best work. This role reports to the Senior Director, Creative Studios.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the design vision of Creative Studios in support of our company and game teams’ goals
Sets the bar for excellence through clear guidelines, constructive feedback, and proactive collaboration
Establish and maintain the consistent quality of brand design throughout the team with thoughtful oversight and collaboration with leads within Creative Studios, Marketing/Publishing, and Production
Develops and drives the strategy for efficient design pipelines, documentation, tooling, and scalable outsourcing
In collaboration with the Discipline Manager, maintains a healthy and inclusive team where designers can thrive and do their best work
Provides mentorship, craft guidance, management support, constructive feedback, and career development coaching
Collaborates closely with other Creative Studios teams to maintain strong relationships, prioritize work, and ensure brand consistency
Partners with Publishing leadership to define the roadmap, scope, budget, and resourcing for the design team
REQUIRED SKILLS
Considerable experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams in games, entertainment, publishing, or marketing
Significant professional visual, brand or UI/UX design experience in games, entertainment, publishing or marketing
Substantial knowledge of traditional and modern graphic design techniques and styles; capable of directing and implementing their visual paradigms effectively
Deep understanding of design fundamentals such as typography, color, texture, composition, and how graphic design can be most effective in communicating ideas, big and small
Strong portfolio demonstrating creative excellence, brand development, and design discipline
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems that impact the team's productivity
Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to take initiative and work independently with little supervision
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
Familiarity with live service game creation and publishing processes
Experience with and love of games; familiarity with Bungie's current and past releases
Experience executing across 360 marketing campaigns
Experience in icon design, vector illustration, and digital painting
Experience with Motion Graphics and digital media pipelines
Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Bellevue Pay Range
$168,000—$195,000 USD
Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:
20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked
Contract and International FTE employees receive competitive benefits through their relevant contracting agency.
