As a Software Testing Engineer, you'll be on the front lines, guaranteeing the quality and excellence of our mobile and PC localized games and apps through comprehensive testing strategies, technical prowess, and innovative problem-solving.
Automation Script Development: Craft and maintain automation scripts that streamline testing processes, ensuring thorough coverage and rapid feedback.
Mobile Device Farm Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of our mobile device farm, guaranteeing an extensive range of testing environments for various mobile games and applications.
On-Demand Tools and Script Provider: Develop and provide on-demand tools and scripts that empower the Localization team to address challenges efficiently and effectively.
Tech Consultation: Offer technical guidance and consultation to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Global Team Collaboration: Lead the development and maintenance of Blizzard LQA Tech Center with a globally distributed team across diverse time zones, facilitating seamless communication and cooperation.
Innovative Problem-Solving: Utilize your technical expertise to solve intricate challenges encountered by the team, promoting optimal localized product quality.
Innovation Integration: Infuse innovation into team projects by introducing novel approaches and technologies that elevate our testing and automation processes.
Other duties as assigned by management
2-3 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance for both Mobile Games/Apps and PC Games.
2-3 years of practical experience as a software developer, automation engineer, or software developer engineer in Test.
Proficiency in Python scripting and familiarity with Python-related automation frameworks.
Thorough understanding of Linux/Mac OS, MS SQL, and MySQL.
Basic grasp of DevOps principles and familiarity with tools like Docker.
Knowledge of at least one data visualization tool such as PowerBI, Grafana, etc.
Fluent oral and written English skills to facilitate effective communication.
Deep familiarity with QA management tools such as Jira and TestRail, including the ability to perform secondary development based on provided APIs.
Hands-on experience in building an automated pipeline from scratch: GitHub -> Jenkins -> MS SQL -> Grafana.
Knowledge of game localization processes and practices.
Degree in a related field, i.e., computer science, software engineering, quality assurance, localization.
Certifications in testing or project management, i.e., PMP, ISTQB…
Excellent knowledge of Blizzard products and services.
