As DevOps Programmer, you will…
Be part of a small team that is responsible for running the AWS infrastructure for the development and production environments for Bethesda Game Studios projects
Assist with and manage microservices in multiple clouds
Accurately estimate your schedule and deliver high quality work on that schedule
Participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule along with colleagues
Qualifications
What Makes You S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
You have previous experience building and running distributed applications in AWS
You are an expert in Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian)
You are comfortable writing code in Python
You have strong experience using configuration management solutions (Salt, Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
You have experience using source control for code management (Git, Perforce, SVN, etc.)
You can write or modify large code changes that affect scripts and infrastructure code
You are certified in Basic Security Principals in at least one cloud platform
You are certified in Cloud Account Administration in at least one cloud platform
During on-call scenarios, you can identify root causes of issues and fix most issues independently
You proactively identify alerting trends and create development tasks to address those trends
You possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
You can effectively communicate upwards with the proper frequency which results in a high degree of transparency, including breaking down technical-specific concepts to all employees with varying technical backgrounds
