We are looking to recruit a driven Sales Director who is passionate about esports and business development.

About us:

BEAT esports, a division of YDX Innovation Corp. (TSXV:YDX), is one of the leaders in Canadian esports with internationally recognized events in Dota 2, Overwatch, Quake and PUBG. We’ve worked with such companies as Blizzard Entertainment, Valve, Twitch, AMD, Sennheiser and ViewSonic. BEAT has received worldwide coverage from outlets such as ESPN, TSN & Score esports + more. In addition, we’ve reached 40 million + viewers since 2011 and are currently one of the most established esports tournament organizers in Canada with dozens of successful events run.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong list of contacts within the esports industry
  • Land sponsorships for upcoming tournaments or calendar of events
  • Explore potential brand opportunities and assess their value to the organization
  • Ability to work with other internal and external clients from a sales perspective
  • Ability to do a large amount of cold approaches and hold 1-on-1 conversations with endemic and non-endemic brands
  • Manage all inbound inquiries and negotiate deals with other companies that are interested in partnering with us
  • Communicate internally to ensure partner requirements are clear and met
  • Assist with our marketing team to develop new strategies and event ideas in order to increase sales opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline
  • Preparing biweekly and monthly sales reports for senior leadership
  • Giving sale presentations to a wide range of prospective clients
  • Maintaining client relationships and records

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of successful sales experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • Passionate and understanding of the esports industry and various esport titles (specifically, Dota 2, Overwatch and Battle Royale games)
  • Ability to plan and execute new deals
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of CRM systems an asset
  • Understanding of Adobe Indesign an asset
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Goal oriented self-starter with high energy level and competitive spirit
  • Able to work comfortably and remotely in a fast-paced environment.
