Our HR team needs a passionate, dynamic, and highly motivated HR Generalist who will execute our strategies across multiple HR domains that will meet the needs of our growing business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer day-to-day questions from employees and leaders regarding benefits, payroll, policies & procedures, and leaves of absence.
- Handles employment related inquires from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate personnel
- Provides advice and guidance to managers regarding employee performance, investigations, and possible paths to resolution
- Takes ownership of onboarding new hires and offboarding departing employees
- Serves as primary partner with external counsel for immigration related matters
- Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce
- Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner
- Manages job descriptions and analyzes exemption status for new jobs
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory training
- Responsible for record keeping related to new hires, employee reviews, promotions, transfers, separations, etc.
- Maintaining physical and electronic files for employees
- Completes reports for executive management
- Administers and executes human resource programs including but not limited to performance management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development
- Provides project management support for the development, implementation, and completion of HR initiatives
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources role
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- High integrity, tact, a positive attitude, and an ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
- Strong communication skills; able to communicate confidently, articulately and with precision
- Can work independently with an understanding of when to call out issues
- Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and standards
- Able and willing to learn and share information
- Comfortable in both working in detail and understanding the big picture; able to consider the ramifications of decisions on various constituencies
- Able to proactively plan ahead and manage activities to ensure steady HR support and engagement on a variety of topics
PLUSES
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now highly desirable
- Proven competency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Human Resources experience in an entertainment or technology company
