We are looking for someone who is excited to dive deep into competitive analysis and critique to support games across our group. In this role, you will help our game teams better understand the structure, execution, and reception of game design in the current gaming landscape by preparing detailed reports based on research and personal experience. We are open to any applicable experience and encourage anyone who is passionate, detail-orientated, and positive to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports on relevant video games that break down the game’s design, execution, player reception, and commercial success.
  • Research relevant video games through play, market research materials, critique, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare reports on game design trends supported by research and case studies.
  • Effectively communicate results and conclusions of research to both creative and non-creative leadership of game teams.
  • Assist design directors in gathering needed information or data about game design topics.
  • Take on special projects to support design efforts across all our projects.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years prior experience in game development or publishing in any role
  • General understanding and interest in game design
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and report on game design objectively
  • Comfortable working in a distributed environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
  • Desire to pursue a career in the games industry
